2017 Greater Indy Women Build
The mission of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program is to recruit, educate and nurture women to build and advocate for simple, decent and affordable houses in their communities. The goal of Women Build is to put the tools into women’s hands to fight poverty housing.
Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity will host its fourth Women Build in 2017 with the support of more than 300 volunteers. The construction of the home starts in the spring and expects to finish early July. Women from all walks of life work together to fund and build a Habitat home for a Greater Indianapolis family in need. Each Habitat partner family contributes “sweat equity,” to the construction of their home and makes payments on a 0% interest monthly mortgage, which helps build more Habitat homes.
